KIDS 'N' PETS Brand Stain & Odor Remover, two pack 32 fluid ounces (64 ounces total) Review

Average Reviews:

This is the best cleaner I've ever found! I have two cats, and periodically the older one will have an accident. I could never find anything to get the smell out until this! It completely removes the smell and gets the stain out of any fabric or upholstery. I've given bottles of it to my family and friends and it gets out just about anything. The only thing I've found that it doesn't work on is toner from a printer cartridge, but nothing works on that. I'd recommend it to everyone because it works and is safe and non-toxic, which anyone with a pet or small child can really appreciate. ******** It's over a year since I posted this and I still haven't found anything that even comes close. I've used it on everything and all types of fabric. There's never been a problem with color fastness or completely removing the odor/stain. I've actually started pouring in a capful on almost every wash cycle I do. Makes sure that everything comes out smelling great and stain free. I'm still telling everyone I know about it.

McCulloch MC1226 Handheld Steam Cleaner Review

McCulloch MC1226 Handheld Steam Cleaner

I'm giving this five stars not because it's perfect but because compared to another brand I've owned and two others I've tried, this is the best. It actually does blast dirt off with steam. Yes, the reservoir is small, but the cleaner is hand held, so if the tank were much larger, the weight of the water would be too heavy for easy use. Today, I cleaned my kitchen floor grout with it. It did not clean every strip, but it did a lot better than my upright floor steamer. If I used a rag in addition, and rubbed the tough spots a little, I came out with clean grout. Yay. I also cleaned the glass doors of my fireplace screen, which I had not been able to do with chemical cleaning agents, and I blasted out the old greasy residue around my antique stove knobs. I'm very impressed.

HAAN Deluxe Total Steam Cleaning System - Includes FS20+ and HS20 Review

HAAN Deluxe Total Steam Cleaning System - Includes FS20+ and HS20
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After years of searching for a floor cleaner that is easy to use and not messy I found the Haans. I got the Deluxe Total Home Cleaning System and I could not be happier. It easy to use, lightweight and does not soak the floor with excess steam like my old steam cleaner. Just a tip-At first I was reluctant about the floor cleaner because when you first use the steam cleaner on tile all the residue from previous floor soaps come up creating a white film. I did not know what to make of that-talk about getting everything out of the tile. It really did. I cleaned the floor with vinegar and warm water to get all the soap off the floor. Thank goodness that only needed to be done once. It was worth it. Since then my floor is amazing. I can walk in my house with socks and they do not get grungy. I also use the floor steamer on my hardwood floors. For years my cherry floors always showed every smudge and foot print. I began over the years to hate my floors. What I found out was it was not my floors, it was the cleaners. Just like the tile the first time you clean the wood it may look dull. What I found is that as I continued to clean the floor with the Haan Steam floor cleaner my floors no longer show all the smudges and foot prints. The little cleaning system is great also. I use it to clean everything from the bathroom, base boards, grit and build up in the corners, stainless steel, windows to the tracks on my sliding glass doors. It is also awesome on flat stove tops. I love it. Not only is it a great product but I have saved so much money not buying cleaners (floor cleaner, wood cleaner, shower cleaner etc... It is a savings of about $28-35 a month. I never thought going green would be easy.

My son's dog is the ideal dog with one exception. He sheds like crazy! I can vacuum the wood floor but the furniture turns into a furry mess when he rubs against it. I've bought every gadget that I could find to try to deal with this with no avail. This vacuum pulls the hair from the fabric with little time and effort. The rubber nubs instead of bristles on the brush really do the trick. I hope that larger vacuums will follow with this concept.

These wipes work GREAT! I got a sample pack with a Hoover steam cleaner and was so impressed with them that I had to order more. I have a few cats and they tend to overeat and then decorate my rugs. Paper towels and sponges are useless when it comes to cleaning up messes of this nature but these wipes work wonders. They clean up the mess easily and you can not even see or smell any remnants of the "accident". In short, great product and perfect for the homeowner with pets.

Eureka 6510A WhirlWind XL 12-Amp Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

Average Reviews:

I've waited a few months to write this, to make sure I'm still pleased with this vac, and I am. I give a lot of thought to my vacuums, because I use it every day (dogs that shed a lot). Here's my vacuum analysis: 1. I like canister vacs vs. uprights because pushing just the head of a canister vac is less tiring than pushing around the total weight of an upright vac. 2. When considering the power of a vac, I don't buy anything less than 12 amps. (which this vac has) AND I purchase one with a power head too (which this vac has). More power! 3. When replacing my old vac (a Sears Kenmore which I loved, but they no longer get good reviews), I decided to go bagless because the price of bags has gone up so much. I chose this one because it has a large dust canister, unlike some of the other brands. It's easy enough to remove, empty, and replace back into the vac. 4. This vac is lightweight too. Not relevant, but it's also cute. 5. A few of the tools -crevice and brush- attach onto the long wand. No, they're not onboard. But you have to lose something to make up for the dust cannister. 6. I tried an experiment regarding the suction. I vacuumed the den carpet first with another vac. Then vacuumed with this vac for the first time after receiving it. I couldn't believe how much dirt it picked up! Cupfulls! 7. The cord is a little short for me, my rooms are large and I do have to unplug it and plug it again into another outlet. (Lazy me to complain about this.) 8. This vac has 3 filters in all. The HEPA filter in the vac; replace yearly. Then another [thick] filter on the dust canister. This one can be washed. And another [thin] filter on the vac that the thick filter then filters into; can also be washed. Nice feature - to be able to wash filters. I'd like to get duplicates for these 2 (for while those others are drying) but can't figure out which filters these are via limited info Eureka (or other) websites give. Sigh. 9. By the way, cheapest price for this vac I found was thru ABC Vacuums website, also free (and quick) shipping.

Eureka 4870SZ Boss SmartVac Pet Lover Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Eureka 4870SZ Boss SmartVac Pet Lover Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had this vacuum for several months now, and I'm quite puzzled by the negative reviews it's gotten. It DOES sound like maybe there were some lemons out there, but once these folks figured out how to work it, or got it replaced it was ok.
We have 2 very long-haired dogs--there is always a TON of dog hair on the carpet. Plus we're all "indoor outdoor" so there's plenty of dirt getting tracked on our carpets too. I vacuum about once a week. I turn this vac on and it does an awesome job--it's got so much suction that I have to turn down the volume when I go over my throw rugs or it lifts them off the ground. It has incredible suction through the wand too--I have nabbed flying insects from several inches away this last week--hah!
I can't stand the enormous mess of bagless vacs (a ridiculous trend in vacs if you need heavy duty cleaning), and this vac has disposable HEPA bags--which was tops on my list. The bags that are meant to be purchased with it contain the unpleasant dog smell which eventually accumulates--and they work great!!! I've never had a vac that did that.
It's got a very simple on/off switch, not a foot pedal, which I'm happy about. It has multiple on-board attachments. It has a nice large valve (?) that you turn to go from floor to hose suction--always a problem previously for me. And it has the ability to turn off the rotating brush when you're working on bare floors--although I don't have a problem w/ keeping it on when I'm going over the tile in kitchen.
It has an enormous long cord which lets me cover a HUGE amount of living room/dining room without switching outlets.
My ONLY complaint is that the latch that lets you release it from it's upright position is slightly difficult for me to get it to work in my houseshoes/boots. But I figure that's me and my selection of footwear--I eventually give it enough pressure and it releases.
I honestly can't say enough good things about this vac--it has enormous power, no smell, long cord, can do carpet or hard floors well, etc. It's not ultra-light or quiet--but I've had dogs long enough to know that I can't get the cleaning I want w/ some wimpy vac. But it's not so heavy I have a problem with it--maybe my mother would, she's 75. It rolls really well though, so you can just roll it backwards on 2 wheels very very easily. And the husband says it's a lot quieter than the last one, a Dirt Devil which didn't so squat. so go figure.
It DOES the job it says it will do--I couldn't be more pleased w/ something I absolutely depend on.

Electrolux EL 7020B Oxy3 Ultra Canister Vacuum Review

Electrolux EL 7020B Oxy3 Ultra Canister Vacuum
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After having my last two vacuums die unceremonious deaths, I decided to do a little more research in buying a vacuum than usual. I checked consumer, and epinions for reports on the latest canister vacuums. I tried out my neighbors vacuums to see if they met my needs, and ultimately decided on the Electrolux Oxygen Ultra.
I am not sorry! This vacuum is fantastic. The bare floor attachment in larger than most making the task of vacuuming easier. However, it still manages to fit into all of my smaller areas (between toilet and tub). It is also more narrow than most I have tried. Because of this, I was able to vacuum in between my banister poles, leaving me one less job to do.
This attachment, along with the telescoping pole, did a terrific job getting under my couches, beds, and dressers, with the exception of one of my daughter's rooms where there isn't much clearance. Furthermore, I decided to give it a go on my blinds. It did a terrific job removing the dust from the 2 1/2 slats.
I then switched out for the motorized head and was very impressed with the power it had for carpeting. I actually found myself being pulled along by it. I used on my berber, and area rugs. It did a great job cleaning them both. Fantastically, the power head plugs right into the handle to make cleaning my stairs a breeze. It took a little getting used to, but I think it did a better job than my last vacuum with a special stairs attachment.
The canister itself is better than others I have worked with. It moved effortlessly. I did not find it was crashing into walls or getting caught up on furniture. It was extremely quiet as well. I found the cord length to be sufficient (I have quite a large house and didn't have change outlets anymore often than with other vacuums) and the extra length on the hose made cleaning higher items easier.
I love the controls on the handle as well. The buttons controlling the power, type of vacuuming and on/off switch were easy to use.
I had no problems with changing out the heads. However, I have not been able to work the space saving storage option of hooking the head onto the canister body. This is not such an issue as I have the space to store it without utilizing this feature.
Bottom line: This is a great machine. I recommend spending the money, and getting a machine that will do a great job and last.

This is the third manual carpet sweeper in my life and the best I've had. It does an absolutely brilliant job of picking up pet hair from carpeting. Also, the handle comes in pieces and then screws together which makes it much easier to maneuver, my last one did not screw together and would come apart. In between regular vacuuming (with a high power machine) this is the perfect quiet sweeper.

Tried this product on my Armstrong linoleum inlay floor with the Hoover power mate, it cleaned very well but left it looking drab and dull.
I now went over it with my Armstrong cleaner and a world of difference. I won't be using it again. The Armstrong cleaner is the best product I've used in the last 18 years.
I;m saving this cleaner for perhaps my garage floor where shine don't matter.

I purchased these for my new Kirby Sentria, which I bought new a little over 3 months ago. I waited for the bags to arrive, what a disappointment. They absolutely DO NOT fit the Sentria. They are the wrong dims, the bag does not attach to the vaccum as it should. The cardboard clips on the bags that came with your Kirby are not on this bag. The plastic bag these came in do not even mention the Sentria. Now I have to return them, what a waste of time and money! Buyer be-warned!

Bissell Versus Bare-Floor Vacuum with Brushless V-Shape Technology, 76T8 Review

Bissell Versus Bare-Floor Vacuum with Brushless V-Shape Technology, 76T8
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Okay..let me start by saying that I have 2 (SHEDDING) dogs who have a doggie door to the backyard and are in and out all day long tracking dirt/leaves inside constantly. Let me also say that I have all hardwood floors throughout, and have been called OCD on the cleanliness of my home. Before purchasing the Bissell Versus, I owned 1 standard (HEAVY) upright vac (Dirt Devil), 2 cordless vacs (one being a Shark), and 2 handheld vacs.
Always on a mission to find the perfect vacuum cleaner, I got sucked (pun intended) right into the infomercial on the Bissell Versus. After reading online reviews (some great, some bad), I decided what the heck..I'll give it a shot. Here is what I found after using it last night for the first time:
1) Hard to find in-stores, but finally found at a local Target on sale for $59. (Yay!)
2) Easy to put together. REALLY easy.
3) Worried about the reviews saying it was hard to maneuver, I found it quite easy (I'm puny)! I didn't find it to be too "top-heavy" at all. WAY lighter than my normal upright vac, and the "V" head makes vacuuming around tables/chairs/furniture so much easier.
4) Vacuumed all of my dog-hair-tumbleweeds without any problem at all, regardless of how big they were, including some larger leaves that had fallen from my houseplants, and one (LARGE) dead bug that appeared sometime while I was out buying this vacuum. I was also very happy with how much dust it picked up! I personally didn't have a problem with the expelled air blowing around hair/debris..the vac sucked it right up before it got too far away.
5) The many reviews complaining about how short the cord is, had me worried I'd spend half my time unplugging/replugging. Although it IS shorter than my normal upright vac, it wasn't AT ALL as bad as some said.
6) Reviews also had me worried about it not getting hair against the floor's baseboard due to the "V" shape - but I didn't have any problems at all. I thought I'd need to use the Crevice Tool/Hose to get against the walls, but thankfully found I didn't even need it (well, just once to get behind the fridge).
7) I LOVE the fact that it is bagless..and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that it doesn't have a roller underneath to get hair/yarn/fuzz wrapped around! I hated trying to cut/unravel that nastiness from around my upright's roller. The Versus just has a big hole that everything gets sucked up! The most interaction I had with the underside, was to pull the fur off of the little "squeegee" thingy after I was done vacuuming my whole house..all of 2 seconds.
8) The only CON I could find, was that I tried to use it to vacuum the dog hair off of a couple floor mats, but it just wasn't doing the job. I'll still have to use my HEAVY one for that, or one of my handhelds.
So, needless to say..I highly recommend the Bissell Versus. :)

SC3683A Commercial Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

SC3683A Commercial Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This vacuum was one of the first purchases we made when we started our janitorial company three years ago. It has been money well spent! I only gave it 4 stars because there are 2 things that I would have changed on the design and they are really more annoyances than defects. The first one is I would add an automatic winding reel for the cord. It's a real pain to have to wind it up after each use to transport. The other thing I'd change is on the floor tool. We use it a lot on bare floors. Another model we have has 2 small wheels on the bottom of the floor tool that helps it ride more smoothly on the surface.
For a small vacuum it has a lot of suction and the telescoping wand is a great idea! Just push or pull on the handle while holding the locking mechanism and voila!
Changing the bags and filter is a snap! The vacuum only weighs 10 lbs. so it's easy to carry and has a handy shoulder strap. It could be a little quieter but it's not any worse than the vacuum I use in my home.
I recommend the commercial (red) version over the residential (yellow). For $40 more you get a larger motor and better hose and tools. The residential model seems to heat up a lot more than the commercial model probably due to the smaller motor. But you pay for that in weight, 10 lbs versus 8 lbs. The residential model's hose is a joke! It is so lightweight that it bends and crimps all the time. Also the residential model does not come with a shoulder strap.
We've used this vacuum on every job from residential cleaning to commercial cleaning to construction clean-up. It has never failed to deliver! I recommend it!

Dyson DC28 Animal Review

Dyson DC28 Animal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I don't know exactly where to start. I've owned a Sears, a Hoover, and an Electrolux (sadly, Electrolux isn't what is used to be). I researched and read reviews on at least 100 vacuums, watched unbiased youtube reviews, and talked to sales associates. After several months, I narrowed it down to the Dyson DC28 and the Miele Titan. I won't waste your time talking about WHY I chose the DC28 over the Miele Titan, but if you would like me to elaborate, please leave me a comment and I will promptly respond.
As far as the DC28 goes, it truly does have incredible suction! We have a longhaired Australian shepherd who sheds hairs sometimes a foot-long, and we regularly have guests, and I admit I'm a clean freak and I vacuum once a day. Yet, with all that daily vacuuming, I was missing SO MUCH, it sickens me. I vacuumed my whole house right before I vacuumed with my DC28, and I filled the canister past maximum capacity, then halfway full again the next day. It's amazing all the dirt and dander and tiny particles that this vacuum kicked up, it was like a fine powder(see my photos above for proof). I also cleaned 1 level of my girlfriend's house, who has a Samoyed, and we filled the canister 5 times on a once over and emptied maybe 2 pounds of hair, dirt, dander and tiny particles (she uses an Oreck XL pro plus I believe). Despite other reviews, this vacuum is not difficult to maneuver; the incredible airmuscle technology suction that this machine has DOES make it *different* to maneuver at first, but I got used to it after a half hour. The machine is stiff at first but if you buy something new, that's very common (mine loosened up after a few days).
The 4 height options are bare floor (lowest/no beater brush), low-pile, medium pile, and high pile. I have medium carpet and use it on the low pile setting to really get that beater brush down in the carpet! My carpets look freshly shampooed everyday. You can feel the suction power in your hand, like using a shopvac in the garage-you know you're getting it all! This machine also has a huge 35 foot power cord that is soft and easy to wrap up on the back of the vacuum, with a strong clip to secure the cord. For floor cleaning of any kind, it's superb. As far as the tools go, it comes with four which I will go over. The MINI TURBINE HEAD(retail 70 bucks separate) works great for cleaning the mattresses, cloth bean bags (lovesac/cordaroys), cloth furniture, small hard to reach spots between furniture, and stair cleaning (attaches to the pop out handle connected to the 17 foot vac hose-perfect for cleaning the whole staircase without moving the machine). Second, it comes with the FLAT-OUT TOOL(retails 50 bucks separate) and this is great for vacuuming under tables, chair legs, and under furniture when attached to the pop out wand. It also comes with a CREVICE TOOL which is a combo STIFF BRUSH TOOL, as well as a soft, wide angled tool with soft fuzz on the bottom to carefully clean delicate surfaces or furniture. The HEPA filter is easy to wash, just rinse it out every 3 months, let it dry for a day then pop it back in and keep cleaning!
I hope this review is helpful to someone and don't forget to look at the product images I posted above. I know the review is lengthy, but I wish I would have had a detailed review like this to guide me while considering spending 600 bucks on a vacuum cleaner, but it really is worth it. I use it everyday and I'd be happy to answer any questions/comments anyone has about my experience with this vacuum, or the vacuum itself. Thanks for reading!

Bissell Steam & Sweep Hard Floor Cleaner, 46B4 Review

Bissell Steam and Sweep Hard Floor Cleaner, 46B4
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been researching mops, steam mops, wood floor sweepers, etc. for about two months. I have read every pro and con of pretty much everything out there. I have a ton of wood floor and tile in my house and I absolutely cannot stand to clean it. I hate sweeping the wood floor, I hate the debris that flies in the air, I hate bending over with the dust pan, I hate the sticky feeling my swiffer leaves behind, I just overall have hated my floors for 5 years because they never ever feel clean. I had a friend sing the praises of the Shark steam mop the other day, so I finally decided to break down and buy SOMETHING. I didn't even care if it did an excellent job, I just wanted something. But- my one qualification was that it be a combo steamer and sweeper. I just had to solve the sweeping issue at the same time. Which leaves you with pretty much the Bissell or the Shark. I looked at the Shark at Wal-mart and the bottom of it made me laugh. The vacuum hole is like 3 inches wide and has no brush or anything. I was not impressed with that. So I went to Target and picked up the Bissell. And now I want to marry it and become Mrs. Bissell because it is so fantastic. A few things about this machine you might want to know: It has an awesome, LONG strong cord. It has a really cool "dyson-like" ball joint that makes it super easy to manuever. The steam works great, the water tank looks tiny, but it lasts a really long time, it comes with two pads that are thick and strong, it lays completely flat when going under furniture, it fits under the counters in the kitchen, it doesn't leave very much water on the floor (I read other complaints of other manchines that leave a ton of water), it dries really fast, it heats up and is ready in 15 seconds or less, it has a clear compartment on top so you can see what debris it is picking up. One caveat- the suction is not super strong, but then again I like my vacuums to sound like a jet engine and suck my skin off if they had the chance, so maybe I am picky. But the brush feature does pick up a lot of stuff. And having the cleaning pad right behind it helps to trap stuff too. So for instance it picked up small leaves, not a band-aid wrapper. It picked up cracker crumbs and bugs, but not a tag to a shirt. The machine is meant to be used with the vacuum and the steamer going simultaneously to save time, however, I like to use just the vacuum and dry cloth to dust mop/vacuum my floors and then activate the steam and do it seperately. But I did use it together and it did okay. Another nice feature is that it is a light and easy machine so you really enjoy using it and don't feel like you are lugging out a Volkswagen to do your chores. I have had it two days and I have been using the vacuum constantly. I love that thing! And once you do an initial clean- the follow-up cleanings are a snap! I finally feel like my floors are clean. It has changed my whole feeling about my house. As far as anything I don't like, you do have to squeeze a trigger for when you want steam and if you are steaming your whole floor then your finger hurts by the end and that is a little annoying. It does also take some upmh! to push it when you are steam cleaning at first. I am sure it gets easier as the floor is cleaner :) Anyway, this machine is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. I highly recommend it!
