(More customer reviews)I'm an artist, I paint with acrylics and oils and I have been using this to clean up my spills and bring back brushes that I let dry out. It works like nothing I ever tried and it's non-toxic and totally eco-green. Recently I was going through my closet and I have a bunch of perfectly good shirts that had stains on them that didn't come out in the wash, so I was going to toss them out. I thought maybe I should try the Winning Colours because some of these shirts I only wore once or twice (I'm a slob). So, I soaked them over night in some water and the Winning Colours, put them in the wash and to make a long story short I think I saved a few hundred dollars in shirts. Great stuff, I highly recommend.

(More customer reviews)I just used my Aquamate Carpet Shampooer for the first time and I couldn't be happier with it. For years I have had a Bissel Proheat. Don't get me wrong the Bissel worked well but it was bulky and hard to figure out. Not the Aquamate, it is easy: fill the water part, add a cap full of cleaner with some water and you're ready to go. The controls on the top of the Aquamate make sense. First setting is shampoo, next click down is water and the last click is vacuum. I ran the vacuum setting over the carpet 4 times before moving on and when I was done with my family room the side I started on was pretty much dry. I didn't have socks on but on my bare feet it was dry. It maneuvers like the vacuum attachment so it was easy to use, not heavy and worked real well. I was impressed, I did a 12x34 foot room start to finish of vacuuming to Aquamate in an hour 15 min. It would have taken me much longer with my Bissel and the carpet would have been wet much longer. I am real happy with it and with having two small children I could have the time to shampoo vac a room after they go to bed for the night and it will be 100% ready by the next morning when my family wakes up art 5 am.

Bissell Momentum Upright Vacuum, Bagless, 82G71 Review

(More customer reviews)We were fed up with our top-of-the-line Kenmore vacuum, which we bought in the hopes that a more expensive machine would also be more effective than the previous Hoovers and Eurekas that we suffered with. But that expensive monster was a nightmare from day one till the very end...and we decided that it might be better for us to buy a cheaper machine and replace it every year. We got recommendations from friends of ours to try out Bissell vacuum, and reviews on Amazon pointed us to this line of vacuums. We couldn't wait for it to be shipped to us, so we went to Target and found it on sale for $89. Yay!
Came home, took it out of the box, and discovered that the hose had to be attached, which was a bit of a challenge to the men of our household ;) But after that, it was good to go. And boy, does it ever go!!! It sucks stuff right out of the carpet, tends to take out a good bit of lint too, and the dust cup got filled very fast the first couple times we vacuumed our house. I think we had to empty the cup a few times the first time we vacuumed! So, that was very rewarding.
It's been a few months now that we've had this machine, and it's still behaving itself. The only thing that seems a bit weak is the hose, which got twisted out of shape at the head end, but we can live with that. It still has the same suction power, and doesn't cause us any undue grief, and if it does, I believe the hose is easy to replace.
The dust cup is nice...I was wary of going the bag-less route, but the convenience of this surprised me pleasantly. Empty the cup into a grocery bag once the dust has settled (we do it before we run it again, rather than after a vacuum session) so that dust does not rise up in a soft cloud. There is an indicator light which tells you when the machine is not at its optimum suctioning power, and this is beyond useful! Wash your filter when the indicator goes to red, and you'll be back to normal.
The 35 (or 40?) foot cord is very nice. Make sure you do not get it trapped underneath the brush, as the cord's outer coating will get worn off; you will be an unhappy person when that happens! (A bit of electrical tape will take care of it when it happens, though.)
I took off one star because of the somewhat weakly-constructed hose, and the fact that the brushes can't be turned off when using the attachments or doing bare floors.

Ammonia with mixed with water is just as good, but as an expectant mother, breathing in those fumes is not a good idea.

(More customer reviews)Sure I expected a new vacuum to clean my carpet better, but what I didn't expect was for my rug to look five years younger afterwards! My matted carpet was in pretty bad shape and I had little hope of it lasting much longer until I couldn't stand looking at it anymore. But after a good cleaning with this Sanitaire S782 I was very happy to see that my rug seemed to have new life in it and frankly looked like the rug was 5 years younger. I am simply amazed.
Dual motors allow for stopping the direct drive brush assembly going over hardwood floors while still providing lots of suction power which is also good for vacuuming the edges of scatter rugs so they don't get sucked up into the roller. And if something does get caught in the roller the motor shuts off instantly and automatically and you just have to hit the reset button after clearing.
This machine uses bags that are inexpensive and is rated at lightweight commercial use. It's fairly light at 14 pounds, and I like the folding handle making it easy to store away. The only con seems to be the high pitched motor noise which is annoying but I am already getting used to it.
After feeling like I was in a maze of new vacuum options I feel I made a really good choice without spending a fortune.

The built-in brush is wonderful for extra-tough stains, and the product lasts a long time. Amazon's price is good too, but the shipping weight listed -- 7.5 pounds for a 12-ounce can -- doubles the price, and is really hard to believe unless they ship the can in a stone box! You're better off buying from your local hardware or discount store.

Neato XV-11 All Floor Robotic Vacuum System Review

(More customer reviews)I really like this robotic vacuum. It cleans a ridiculous amount of pet hair and dust from my carpet! I used a Roomba, which was fairly good but the drawback was it couldn't navigate to other rooms and back as well as the Neato does. The other drawback was it couldn't figure out how to get onto area carpets without the spinning brush on the front getting stuck. For the Neato, this is no problem at all. Instead of bouncing all around looking for light houses it will detect doorways and move from room to room in a more logical fashion.
The suction and cleaning ability is amazing. I would place the suction power closer to an actual upright vacuum. The noise level is a bit quieter than an upright and maybe a little louder than the whine of a Roomba. There is significantly less bumping, which overall, makes the Neato quieter. It still bumps into things (mostly table legs) from time to time but nowhere near as hard or as frequent.
Battery life is adequate. About an hour to 90 minutes I've seen. I have several large rooms for it to work on and it doesn't do them both in a single charge. The nice thing about the Neato is it will recharge itself (2-3 hours) when the battery runs out then it will resume exactly where it left off to complete the job.
Coverage is very good. It does seem to miss very small parts of the room but nothing major. I have debris from a litter box for it to clean up and it does get nearly every single scrap that comes out. I have it scheduled to run nightly and it picks up way more dust and fur than the Roomba.
If you don't want the Neato to go somewhere your only choice is to close the door or place down a black magnetic strip. Very ugly compared to Roomba's lighthouse solution.
Another thing to mention is there is no option for it to clean a small area. It has to do the entire job.
I've taken a star off because the customer service is HORRIBLE. Mine was broken from day one due to a known defect (the battery is buzzing and not charging when connecting to the dock). I spent FIVE days and FIVE CALLS on the phone with customer support and it got me NOWHERE. First they said they'd give me a next day shipping label which sounded reasonable. That never came. After more and more calls getting nowhere they then wanted me to ship it ground and CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD AGAIN FOR ANOTHER ROBOT??? Again, I still don't know if I would ever get a shipping label. Truly frustrating.

Dirt Devil M083414 Extreme Power Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner Review

(More customer reviews)Having just put tile throughout the house, and living with 3 dogs and 2 cats, I hated hauling out the heavy vacuum and plugging it in. And then unplugging and plugging again and again all the while dragging it around the house.. This little wonder does the whole house, is light and does the job. The only complaint I could possibly have is that the dirt cup is quite small and has to be emptied frequently. This, of course, would vary depending on how much animal hair accumulates on ones floor.

I would heartily reccommend this device because of it's ease of use, lack of weight and powerful suction.
I love it and could sell them door to door they are so great.

I like how it has a large tank, and you do not have to lift the dirty water tank to empty it. The water tanks are heavy, slippery, and messy to empty. I gave my hoover steamer to a friend. This machine is expensive, but shop around. Worth every penny, especially if you have a large house. I will be cleaning rugs at my daughters gym. Saving money on her classes! My 12 year old son helped and had no trouble using this machine. I can't say enough!

Carpet-Pro CPU-75T Household Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

(More customer reviews)My husband bought this at a repair shop where he'd taken our 20-year-old Eureka Boss, which had just bitten the dust. The repair guy offered a $60 credit toward this Carpet Pro for having come to the store with a vacuum that couldn't be repaired. He didn't know the model number, so from home I checked Amazon reviews and found only 4s and 5s for CPU-1, so I said it looked like a good machine. What a mistake! Not only is this model a piece of crap, but the store has an All Sales Final policy!
Here are the problems:
1. Useless foot pedal: Immediately, I found that the foot pedal for adjusting the handle angle is only a piece of molded plastic, not a pedal that actually depresses when you step on it. It looks like part of a kids' toy vacuum! 19 out of 20 times that we stepped on it, it would not work. We took it back to the store, and the repair guy loosened the screw. Now the handle flops and doesn't stay upright, but at least we can vacuum with it.
2. Blows up dust! When you use it, the vacuum blows outward a bit, so that dust blows up into the air!
3. How the attachment hose actually attaches to the machine is a mystery that we have not cleared up yet by consulting the instructions. The hose comes apart in one place, so that part of it is still attached to the machine, and if you attach it to the hole where you're supposed to attach it, according to the instructions, there's another hole left open where dust could fly out of the bag. If anyone knows how to attach the hose on this model, please let me know by leaving a comment.
Pros:
- there's a light in front, which helps you to see the dust that's blowing around (see #2 above).
- It's not as heavy as the Eureka.
- It does suck up cat hair and crumbs pretty well, although in a couple of swoops whereas the Eureka only took one roll-over to get it all up.
If you're looking for a cheap vacuum cleaner, this is it. But buy it at a place that allows for returns!

(More customer reviews)my wife had been looking around, for a good while at different styles and types of vacuums. she has tried the bagless styles and was very displeased with them. after many considerations (oreck, kirby and etc.), she chose to try this one. after using it for several weeks, she has stated that she was very glad that we bought his one. i, myself, was totally surprized at the quality of this hoover. it's very well built (not flimsy like most other vacuums at this price), very easy to move around, and has very strong suction power. my wife likes the way that the wands fit together easily, without the cord being in the way (the cord that dangles from most vacuums with the power nozzles) and the fact that you don't have to change one nozzle to another (rug to bare floor) to finish vacuuming, just push the bar from rug to floor and it's done. the only thing that my wife didn't care for was that two of the attachements tools are stored on the wand, which does at times, come off when bumped against something. But other then that, she is very happy with this vacuumm. we have many pets (six all together) that are inside which my wife has to vacuum at least four to five times a week (with all the shedding) and she feels that this vacuum will do the job for a long time (we average about a vacuum every 2 years due to the constant use). over all, with it's sturdy built, power, and user-friendly abilities, we give this vacuum 5 stars!!!!!michael and penny smith

The Breeze arrived in 3 days, even with free shipping - thanks Amazon!
Assembly was a breeze, just 4 screws. We have over 1500 sq ft of carpeted areas and steps so I put the new vacuum to work.
Pros:
-- Price (and I also used a gift certificate) - sweet!
-- Lightweight! What a difference it makes.
-- Very powerful. It sucked a full dirt container from our house.
-- Thermal protective device - according to the manual this will shut off the motor to prevent overheating (what our old vacuum did not have)
Cons:
-- No HEPA filter out of the box but the next time I replace the filter I can get a HEPA filter from Amazon
-- To use the hose (on the steps, inside car) I needed to detach the main hose and connect the special hose. But it's cool how you plug-and-twist the hose in place.
-- Warranty is only 2 years. But for the price I paid that's fine.
So really, no negatives yet. Happy with this purchase.

Hoover Portable Canister Vacuum, Bagged, S1361 Review

(More customer reviews)Purchased this Hoover 3 months ago. I currently have a Eureka Mighty Mite and decided that I wanted to have another lightweight canister vacuum for downstairs. I happened to come across the Hoover Bright Orange canister vacuum and thought it was so neat looking, and since it was a Hoover - how could you go wrong.
Well the problems are as follows: suction - fair at best; wand connecting to the head won't stay put - it keeps coming apart no matter how hard you push the wand into the head; the bag - since I wasn't getting any suction I checked the bag and found that though it was only half-filled, the bottom of the bag had disintegrated - this happened twice. I'm not sure if this was due to its close proximity to the filter/motor, but I have never had a bag do this on any other vacuum cleaner I've owned.
Sorry to say, but it's a great looking vacuum, but that's the only thing going for it.
Definitely buy the Eureka Mighty Mite if you're looking for a vacuum for light cleanups.

Fantastic Grandma's Secret Spot Remover Review

I'm terrible at getting food stains on my shirts then having to demote them to "house shirts" or throwing them away. I was surprised when it took out a two year old stain on my one of my favorite blouses. This stuff really works and I am so glad I got it that day.
